My new to me 15’ with sport lines ,which is too much imo.

steering tracks and has bumpsteer apparent. I am waiting on parpst to fix the rear, and thinking more and more about a bumpsteer kit

Surprise I don’t read more about it with all these lowered cars

Thanks! I like apex wheels. Is a 10 to 11 inch wheel really necessary for a daily driver? And the tires have been goin up and up.
9.5 is the 'best' minimum width since it fits 255-285 and there are thousands to choose from, but for summer tires most people spring for 285+ and 10" wide which while still plentiful have less selection. The skinny tires you're running is a crime against Mustang. :)

If your road are really lousy run 275/40 instead of 285/35 on 10".

After learning the first thing about power and traction, my car literally became the gym bro who skips leg day. I don't really have traction issues with my habits but it makes you wonder why they thought that was a good idea haha

Figured out I need to get the front geometry corrected (steeda roll center/bump steer kit)
[/QUOTE]

Are you sure it's a RC issue and not a sway bar issue?

No! How would I know for sure?
Dude, because...you said you figured it out. Your needs are fairly modest, well done for recognising that, too many folks throw money at mods for their DD etc and end up no better or even worse off. IMHO go to a GOOD alignment shop and see what they can do. Pending their advice about whether you need shiny new stuff to get the right adjustment, drive it and monitor tire wear. If you're not a handling fiend you don't need to spend mucho $ on getting the last 1/16" of toe dialled in. In the meantime pick up a front bar s/h or on sale.

Hey Matt what's your rec for a square tire set up on 19x10/11? 285 or 295? Prob borderline either way.

I said I was not sure lmao. The tires definitely have a lot of play side to side.

Yes, just want to have a responsive drivers car to take on backroads. Good alignment important, I will post my most recent to get some feedback there.

285 doesn't sound modest, maybe for these cars that is middle of the road with the guys that run 300+ tires around.
I found a nice deal on a bmr bar, hard to pass up.

LOL if you weren't 'sure' then you didn't 'figure it out'

Anyway...grab the BMR piece but if you can wait then fit it after you've driven with the new alignment so you can assess the change that the alignment makes.

Seriously how do you know the tyres have a lot of 'play'. Poor steering response that suggests the sidewalls are soft? Contis are usually quite good for street driven cars. Could also be an alignment issue.

Partly from driving, I've stood next to the car and shoved it around and its like a teeter-totter. The wheel moves rigidly with the body and all the movement is in the tires. Steering response too. They are great tires, had no problems this past winter and very good in the rain.

Yes, I am a fan of changing one thing only so you know where the change is coming from. Even if it takes longer

285 I reckon but it depends on the tire specs that you have to consult to see if it's rational. 275/40 also fit on 11 in some cases. if you have staggered wheels you might as well match the tires to them? Having to de/mount tires in order to 'rotate' them seems like a bit of a bother. Unless you have your own tire machine or something...

Something to keep in mind when picking rim size and tire size combos is sidewall geometry. If you compare a 245 to a 285 on a 9 inch wide rim, you’ll find the 245 will be more responsive in corners. There’s some good info in this forum regarding recommended tire and rim sizes with this in mind. Some people usually just go for the widest tire they can possibly fit not thinking about how the sidewall is going to act, and they usually end up with a car that either feels worse or the same as stock. That being said, a better tire compound will always make more difference than an extra 20-40mm of tire width.

You need at least 275/35/19 all around if not more. No need to waste good suspension on skinny tires. Tires are the single biggest difference and getting a good set of wheels/tires is a must if you want to enjoy the Mustang especially on back roads etc.

Searching that size looks a lot better on price, what about for a 18x9.5/10 wheel? This is also a commuter car. Thanks

you can go as narrow as 255/40 on 9.5 and wide as 285/35. For day to day driving I buy all seasons (pilot sport or conti dws etc) in 275/35 or /40 and call it good. It's more tire than you can possibly use anyway and keep your license.

Any of the top dozen high-performance all-seasons as classified by Tirerack.com will do just fine.

OP, check eBay for tires.
I just bought (2) 265/40r19's brand new for $300 for my 9x19 Forgestar's, and (2) 285/40r19's brand new, one was $200 and one was $375 for my 10x19 rear wheels. All Michelin pilot super sports. Plenty of tire for the street and driving like you want to stay out of jail.
Nice and wide and really sticky.
And basically about $1800 worth of tires for around $900.
