Just got done installing the QuickLIFT Plus on our Ecoboost! It took about 15 and really cleans up the under-hood appearance. We have them in stock and offer free two day shipping inside the continental United States. :headbang:

Does the hood closer easier/better with these vs. stock?

These don't impact it, but I have noticed after a couple weeks and 1,000 miles the hood closes (and unlatches) a lot easier now.

Just like Stoli said, the hood struts don't effect how the hood closes.

I do really like how the hood opens now now. It opens in such a way that the last few inches of extension are slow and controlled as to prevent unnecessary forces to the attachment points. I will get a video up shortly to demonstrate how they function.

Interesting, do you think this is caused by wear on the latching mechanism?

I just installed these and they look great!

It's funny how the car just happened to have the pre-made locations to install these. It seems as if they were in the original design and then removed to cut costs.

It's funny, I was thinking the same thing when doing the install.

I was reading through the owners manual last night, and look at what I found. LOL

What "lift cylinders"? Oh wait, we have them now. :)

That really surprises me. I can't imagine the reason for deciding against them was due to the cost per part. Possibly something to do with quality concerns or even assembly line flow?
