Funny this came up. What year did the comfort seats become available?
The reason I asked? I couldn’t find any from ‘16-‘18 before I decided to buy new.

Comfort seats have been available since day one. I have the recaros. I’m 6’1” 230, 36” waist with big hips lol. I love the recs.

I had the Dairy Queen seats in my 2016 GT350 and loved them, I am a short 5' 8" fat SOB. Loved them and drove that car for 3 years and 20K miles. Tracked it and had a blast. Had a second set of wheels with cups and the Schroth quik fit harness. Great set up.

Sept 2019, found my 2019 GT350R. This short SOB barely fits in the recaro's and love them. When I purchased R, Drove from Central Fl to Atlanta, swapped keys with dealer and drove R home. 7 hrs + 2hr traffic (stopped and not moving) jam. At end of journey (at home) was happy to get out of them. I drive it around town and have a blast/

My 1st track experience with R, nothing beats the Recaro's. I did not need harness (will be putting one in soon) and was snug in seats. Love them.

My 0.02 cents, if its more a pleasure car with limited track days, get Dairy Queen seats (thanks for that name, think its hilarious). Mainly a track car, get the Recaro's.

To the OP, congrats with your car. I have the Recaro seats for both the Bullitt and the 350. I am 5’10” and 170lbs. They also match the same fit and feel as the seats in my “command center” in my man cave...

Got it. I guess the comfort seats didn’t become popular until later.
Just the opposite happened while looking at new, hard to find new with Recaros.

I would not get the GT350 without the Recaro seats, but that's just me.

My opinion, use the view local inventory and sit in both but I would go Recaro.

Recaro

Pro's- fits the look of the car, comfortable, supportive, lighter, simple, rarer and more sought after.

Con's- bolsters can be tight depending on your body, no features.


Leather Trimmed sport seats

Pro's- more plush, feature heating and cooling, power adjust with memory, fits everyone.

Con's- cost more, look like cheap standard seats, could be expensive to fix out of warranty.

Well I had a 16 and 17 and would not have had either one if they didn't have the comfy seats. As said in other posts it is a personal choice on how car is used. I'm 75 years old, had no plans to track either car. Sit down in one with Recaro seats and said no way! To hard for this old fart, and can only slide seats front and back. Loved the power up and down/front back and heated/cooled comfy seats.

I sat in both and decided I had to have the Recaro seats. Took me a little longer to find one but if you really want them don’t compromise. Expand your search. I ended up buying my car several states away but it’s New England so it was only 2.5 hours away

I've had cars with Recaros before and I think they kind of suck for daily use. Heated and cooled seats are awesome, I enjoyed my cooled seats today, it was in the 90's outside. It is a personal choice, 1. Do they fit your body type. 2. Do they adjust to a comfortable position for you? 3. Do you mind climbing over the bolsters to get in and out.

The deluxe seat, slides back automatically when you kill the engine, if you are taller, it makes climbing out easier. Good Luck, post pics of your new car. Maybe a nice road trip in your future? Stripes are not all bad, the black ones are kind of cool.
