Title says it all, I don't want a surprise. I've got an 18 third member and am putting it into a 17 car.

The 18 is from an auto and mine is auto trans.

Thanks

No one knows?

Called Ford and they show a superseded part number so, flip a coin?

Reading through that thread, and since the part number for the 17 is changed to the 18, it looks like the 17 can use the 18, but the 18 cannot use the 17.

Both the 17 and the 18 automatic pinion flanges should be the 110mm measurement, and will physically interchange.
In 2018 Ford stepped-up the manufacturing process on the flanges, and made a better product.
