Apparently Ford switched from Orange coolant (VC-3-B) to Yellow coolant (VC-13-G) starting this year. My coolant reservoir is a bit low, and I'm just wondering if it is alright to add the yellow coolant so it is a mix? Ford has said there should not be a issue, but can anyone confirm this? I've learned to be wary of advice coming from something that stand to benefit if it turns sour.

It mixes fine, both are OAT coolants. With that said it just degrades the yellow's lifespan to that of the orange. Most dealers still have a few gallons of orange though, so you can probably snag one if you look around.

Like a lot of other folks my coolant reservoir was a bit low at delivery. I added a bottle of Redline Water Wetter and a tiny bit of distilled water. Whala! Done and done.
