flat bar that covers enough area to compress each piston evenly, a rag to protect the face, and c clamp to do the clamping force work worked for me.

In the past, I would just use the spent brake pad and a c clamp but that was with floating calipers. These are my first fixed calipers (pistons on both sides)

I came across an LMR video recently (I think it was LMR) and they used snap ring pliers and a flat head screwdriver to compress the front pistons using the old pads before removal. Many different techniques depending on the tools handy.

When swapping from track to street pads, I've just used my thumbs against the pad backing plate and been successful. It doesn't feel that good, but it's quicker than pulling the caliper and rotor off.

C clamp and the old pads. The finish on the Brembos is pretty durable.

My hands and brake pads? I just squeeze them once the caliper is off. To get them off the rotor, I just use a small prybar in the middle of the pad area. Once off, I squeeze them.

4 pistons in the rear? Which brake kit?
I noticed that too. I'm assuming the 350 kit. Everyone seems so convinced that the rear single piston calipers are insufficient.

They just look weak compared to the front.
