Yes, those tips are the best I have seen. There seems that no one yet makes double walled replacement tips to fit over the oem. You have to do what you have done and replace the mufflers.
Your upcoming mods sound good but can you tell me what a plate mound is.

Drives great! Revs right up and past 7000rpm.

Yes, IMRC locked out.

And TB is stock. No point in changing the TB, no gains.
