Absolutely I love the CJ on my 16. Please tell me thats an A10 car too!

10s all motor is where its at!
Hey I know this is an old thread, but been considering the CJ for my 2019 A10 GT.

These are compatible with A10’s right ? I’ve heard they aren’t lol.

I’m gonna be full bolt on - and adding this is gonna be icing on the cake.... on 94 octane. You’re saying this will be a 10 second car ?!?!?

Very hard pressed to see 10s NA not on e85. Maybe max effort with cams, FBO, CJ and ALOT of weight reduction.

Okay so FBO and CJ, low 11s?
Add suspension mods, good tires, good track prep and good DA mid to low 11s could be doable.

Mid 11? These cars can run 11.7’s in stock everything.

Some can / do. Also seen some run 12s depending on DA and track prep. But also why I said mid to low not just mid. 11.2s would be a good target to shoot for before going weight reduction. Also use your stock runs to compare/ track progress. If you do manage a 11.7 stock then going 11.2 with your planned mods should be pretty easy.

Yeah I mean i’m not complaining with 11.2-11.3 .. I just want the CJ for a bit before i go S/C

The Gen 3 Coyotes are capable of running 10’s with LTH, off road exhaust, CAI, automatic transmission with 4.10 gear.
On e85 definitely capable, but on standard pump, which was one of their restrictions, it would be much more difficult.

I’m assuming the non update on this post clearly meant the power difference was minimal from an 18 manifold to a CJ manifold. You need to go full on with a CJ with cams and E85 to really see the difference. Perfect example of that is Steeda’s N/A car. Would like to see the numbers though.

I finally installed my cobra jet intake this weekend. The install itself was pretty straight forward, but the fuel rail did have to be slightly modified. Hoping for 480-490 on pump 455whp is my previous number. A huge thanks to
jon and the guys at lund racing for seting me up with the tune

No doubt cams would take advantage of the CJ's L-O-N-G power band but they aren't needed.

It's also not about peak power with the CJ ... It's about average power and the CJ absolutely kills the Gen3 intake above 7000, essentially it kills the Gen3 above 6k..

Local guy did a CJ swap back before COVID shut everything down last spring and his CJ made peak power at 6400 [which is nearly 500rpm earlier than the Gen3] and carried it to 8200, which is 500 past where the Gen3 really needs to shift.

Also no question this is an expensive swap for 'no more power than it makes $ for $' compared to FI but it's also more impressive to run low 10's NA.

And you don't need a CJ and 4.09's to run 10's with a Gen3. Guy was running 10,9xx's at Darlington last fall with the stock cat's still on it. He had 3.15's, 3" catback , stock converter and an agressive E85 transbrake tune with some weight pulled off the car.

the key is the E85 trans brake tune not the CJ trust me. 10.9 is about average. You don’t “need” cams but that makes a huge difference with a CJ running e85. After an install a tune and parts at about $3-4K total for the job and everything included. Not sure it’s worth the 20hp gain unless you’re going all in.
