Ok that is odd, was it supposed to? Also Ford Pass does not work because no hotspot modem. Is it the same piece of hardware for both wlan and wwlan?

FordPass works... as long as you have the app and a phone paired. Fordpass Connect has the Modem which allows for remote connectivity (via ATT 4G network) without the need to pair a phone. This is what allows for remote start, door lock /unlock, remote diagnostic reporting. When the Bullitt came out, it was marketed as having FordPass Connect. It was posted on official website, literature and so on. But somewhere along the time line, the hardware was not installed and the vehicles rolled out the assembly line without it.

1.18 update gives an err03 and1.19 gives err05, the only thing I was able to update was the base sync version. I plan on calling Ford tomorrow to see what they have to say since I bought the USB stick from them.

Not sure why yours does not have the hotspot, but according to the 2019 ordering guide, it should.

No, it shouldn't . But thank you for that link, to finally put this issue to rest. Ha ha. By the way, the feature is called 'Ford Pass Connect'. And if you go to pages 19 and 20, where all the Bullitt features and options are listed, Ford Pass Connect is NOT included in the Bullitt equipment group (500A), nor the standard features. But it IS listed under the GT Premium equipment group (401A), so now we know it's officially a GT Premium feature.

Bottom line is that document is correct... but don't know why everybody thought 2019 Bullitts had that feature, including many dealer salesmen I talked to while shopping for my Bullitt. Maybe they just assumed it did, because GT Premiums did have it. And that's my guess too. Finally, the good news is, just like the horn fiasco, Ford included both features in 2020. Take care.

I have sync version 3.4 with map na1.18. If I get the update what map version do I get? Dont want to waste my complimentary update on the same map version.

You know, I'm going to call Ford tomorrow to get another complimentary version, since the one I just downloaded stayed the same (1.18). Good point .

Is that even possible? What department do you contact. Everytime I call Ford asking for something, seems like noone knows anything.

I called a number that appeared on the instructions, in case of an issue. I think it's (800)392-3673. And yes, I had to hold for a long while .
