you could enable engineering test mode to see the digital coolant temp and if increase in coolant temp correlates to the needle moving once at operating temp. sometimes ford likes lazy gauges.

Derale suggested I use the 51608 stacked plate cooler for the transmission and the 13740 with two small fans for the rear differential. I think I will go with what they suggest.

Full-Tilt-Boogie Racing cooling diff
I am considering doing that. If I'm going to run the transmission and diff. cooling separately I might as well push the easy button on the diff cooling, right? Although I think it's going to be more expensive to buy that kit than to piece it together.

I'm considering the Derale 15230 unit for cooling the diff and transmission in my 2017 GT PP. Anyone on here used one of these?

https://derale.com/product-footer/f...618-a727-a905-transmission-cooling-pan-detail

I was looking at other models but I think this one is just about the perfect size to fit behind the rear diff. I'd probably use the 4 pass circuit for the diff and the 2 pass for the transmission.

Not the same brand but same function...one side for the trans other for the diff... got mine from Summit Racing

There's lots of room to mount that stuff once you decide to go full race car and give up the trunk. :like:

I ended up grinding the rear side of the grill, adding a mishimoto oil cooler, did the vellosatach big mouth kit, GT350/PP radiator and finally did the hood track spec vents.

as for the Diff I did the header wrap around the exhaust where it gets close to the diff.

First track day since these mods is on the 11th. Let’s try and stay away from limp mode even though that ambient temps will be 30 degrees higher than the last I went to.

OIl cooler looks good ;)

Next open up the front grill area where the honeycombs are blocked off. Just doing that made a significant difference for me.
haha! Thanks bud! Well if you look at the last image I did end up opening the grill! I did that before adding my hood vents, and I would start getting hood lift or wobble a good 30 MPH earlier than before, once I added the track spec vents, no hood lift thus far.

Does anyone know of a hood vent for a 2018+ which is a full replacement for the factory hood vents++? For some reason, the track spec vents for the 2018+ go behind the factory vent and look like a tack-on item. I'm assuming there are functional reasons for that, but the 2015-2017 variant just looks like it belongs on the car compared with the 2018+ version.

If you just want a functional hood vent the same exact size as the OEM vent, can you not either trim the vent to open it up or simple take out the vent itself and expose the opening in the hood for track purposes?

Sorry I'm not familiar with how the OEM hood vent for 18s is, but I'm just thinking in general. If you don't want to cut the hood but want more functionality out of the existing hole, then you should be able to simply modify your stock one or a replacement stock one to achieve the same results.
