They had no idea. They said that I should bring it in and the techs might know what it was about.
Guess I'll know on Friday

all I can find is a emission recall for California. That has been there forever.
No other alerts.
Thanks for the link

Yea, I have not been able to find anything on it (yet)... and I’ve searched across the entire S550 platform.

??

Is that message from the internet, or directly from the Ford app? Only asking because of how someone typed it up, kind weird spelling/punctuation errors are left in it..

@ the OP looks like you are running a EB s550 from your details. I would find out what its for and if you are tuned check with your tuner before letting the dealer FLASH your car. Back in my FoST days they (FORD) did a ECU update for the purge valve and my tuner had to send me a revision before I let them execute.

This is for an EB. It came as a message from the fordpass app.
I have a roush tune so if they clear it I can put it back on again.
Strange that it came up and even stranger that the dealer had no idea about it.
I'll post on Friday when i return

You can easily see that it is a phishing scam. The grammar is 2nd grade lvl. I like the use of "Your 's" Just delete it.

I think there is a Nigerian prince behind this somewhere, does not pass the smell test IMO.

This came from in the ford pass app, not a regular email
When I hit contact dealer it listed all the dealers around me.

Honestly I find this thread a little disturbing. IronG is 100% right. That alert did not come from Ford. But it came through on the Fordpass app. Does this mean the app could have been hacked.

Also if it did come form Ford it would be on the dealers computers. If they know nothing about something as serious as an engine damage update something is wrong.

OP, give Ford a call before going to the dealer. Unless you're going there for another reason anyway, you are wasting your time.

I'm going to post this on the general thread to see if anyone else got this.

Were all the dealers "African Princes located in the Congo or Nigeria...and in need of you to send them your checking account information, in order to send you a check to payoff your EB?:sunglasses::cwl::dance:
