I think it is like the we-all-know type of people who has these rats they try to convince us is a chihuahua...

The Mustang attracts a certain type of people and being in a price range that is affordable to many people - and also those who doesn't know that 1+1=2 and therefore doesn't think thst flooring it means lets give the car it's own life.

An other theory is that with the record sales we see every year on the Mustang there is more of them on the road - statistically that means there is a better chance seeing a Mustang in a crash than other muscle/super/sport cars

Even here in Europe the rumors exists on the famous crowd targeting car.

When mine comes here in a couple of months I'm eager to NOT be a part of that statistic

Law of averages. There are a shitload of them and they depreciate rapidly, so most anyone can buy one.

Agreed ... was just having fun. There are 3 videos in the series, the others are less Mustang heavy. But you see these guys building 800 horsepower beasts on a chassis 50 years old on thin tires, and they FLOOR IT going around a corner.

Speaking for the mustangs only: Cheap, fast and good looking! The car has gotten better over the years: safety, handling and better suspension but those engines even the V6 have any awesome power output. Also factors like cold tires, road conditions and driver error come into play. Bottom line —showing off, flooring it on cold tires and just plain recklessness are the reasons so many end up on the wrecker.

‘I personally wrecked my 91 5.0 twice , once on a dry day going too fast and once on a rainy day going to fast. My 07 GTnever got away from me but my 15 GT and 19 GT have both surprised me a couple times by spinning out at or below 25 mph. Each time I over corrected because of the sneaky power and the road conditions made a difference.

I still will continue to buy these cars and as I get older enjoy them but leave the speed exhibition for the track.
