They indicate that the BMR camber bolts are good for "2.5 degrees" of camber. Does anyone know if that is 2.5 degrees additional camber, beyond stock adjustment? Or a total maximum of 2.5 degrees of camber? I have the FP Track Pack suspension installed with -1.5 deg of front camber. I'm trying to figure out if these bolts could increase that to -2.5, or -4.0. Thanks.

That means 2.5 degrees range. It means that you should be able to get up to about -2.75 with the bolts.
So for clarification, if my car is currently at -1.5, installing the camber bolts could provide an additional -1.25, allowing for a total camber of approx -2.75. Correct?

I have some Ford camber bolts from a 2014 mustang. There 12mm by 3.5in. They are not undercut like aftermarket bolts, but require slotting strut bolt hole. If they'll work for you, let me know.

Thanks, but I already bought the BMR bolts.

If this is for race car things, I recommend slotting the struts with a dremel over camber bolts. Then then clamping force will be way higher due to full sized bolts and chance of slipping less.

The slotting is very easy to do with a dremel and the default sandpaper bits, but you loose wheel to strut clearance and if you don’t apply the correct XXX ft lbs of torque (or weld material i to the other side of the slottes hole to lock in the new position) bolts may slip. Make sure to use fresh bolts if you go that route.

in the end, camber plates are worth it. The steeda ones aren’t too pricey and give a lot of adjustment range.

To continue this thought, only slot the upper hole to get extra camber, because then, when that corner is loaded into a corner, the load will push into the fixed end of the slot, not the open end.

I would also add that, if you want extra security, then once the slot is as you want it, weld a fender washer on the mounting flange so the strut can't slip.

The Ford camber bolts are full diameter and have offset washers to keep in place. But yes, camber plates are better.

I've never seen them, so you'll have to excuse my ignorance on this one, but how is that possible?

The ones i had were for my 2013 mustang, but guess they would work same way on others. You have to slot the top hole in the strut. Offset washers keep bolt aligned on strut.

Just noticed this could be a rear uca bolt. I know i had front camber bolts some where.

So, it's basically what I was talking about with tacking fender washers on the mounting flange. When you do that, you have to grind the portion that sits against the strut flat.

One thing you can do to mechanically lock the adjustment to max negative is to take a washer and tackweld a little tab at the ID so that the little tab fills up the space left, If you're uneasy about using this on only one of the strut 'ears', make two and lock the bolt under both the bolt head and the nut.

Theses are the Ford camber bolts. Washer sets in strut and does not move. Strut is slotted so spindle moves relative to strut. No welding required with these and full diameter bolts.

Does that big washer directly bear against something? Can't see its underside to see if there's anything going on there either.

Washer is part of bolt and engages in raised parts on struts. Again this bolt is for a 2014 and earlier, not sure if it would work with s550. It came with Ford suspension kit, along with Caster bolts!!!
