Nice but... I always wanted to ask this question: How can you stand not seeing the coolant level in the tank? Of all the cars I have, the BMW 335i is the only opaque coolant reservoir which has to be opened at cold and has inside a gauge for seeing how much it is. I still hate it. I like my Mini Cooper and Shelby transparent ones...JLT master cylinder cover, Airaid filter, CPC coolant tank cover and not pictured the Redline hood strut kit
Thanks. I can take the cap off to check it. I have to pull the dipstick out to check the oil. Not a big deal. I can't stand the ugly jellyfish coolant tank. To each their own.Nice but... Just wondering...
In terms of the ZL1 tow hook install, I've heard that it can be installed without removing the front fascia by undoing the belly pan. But then I've also heard that to remove the belly pan you have to remove the front splitter. But it appears that you can remove the front fascia without removing the front splitter (since your front fascia is off with the splitter installed), so shouldn't it also be possible to remove the belly pan without removing the splitter? Unless the belly pan is still attached to the front fascia in your picture?
Holding up pretty well, but there are a few spots it's chipped due to me bumping into the calipers with tools during the suspension upgrades. May order another kit and do some touchup work to them at some point. How is the caliper paint holding up?
I don’t know how anyone can get that tow hook on without removing the bumper, I know you can’t get the marker lights installed without removal, so I did 2 projects in one shot. Yes the belly pan all came off together. I’d say this is by far the easiest method. Just watch where the brake ducts are going when you reinstall. I’d also recommend a battery powered ratchet for the 2 pesky bolts that hold the top of the front clip inside the fender well. Makes things much easier. In terms of the ZL1 tow hook install, I've heard that it can be installed without removing the front fascia by undoing the belly pan. I cannot remember where I got the letters. They are domed, and black and white as opposed to the single color white you typically see. If I remember where ill pm you.Definitely looks GREAT ! I have to tear mine apart to install the Shelby LED Fog Light / Marker Light Kit.
I was hopeful that it would arrive when the car was torn apart while the stripes were being painted on, no such luck.
Also I really dig your style of Shelby letters on the front. Where did you "procure" those beauties ? I have only noticed the solid letters.
Perfect Mike, thanks for that link ! Any thoughts on "Cold Air Intake Kits" ? Not really looking for something that requires a "Tune"...
You already have a cold air intake that doesn't require a tune. Any changes to the intake worth making will require a tune.Perfect Mike, thanks for that link ! Any thoughts on "Cold Air Intake Kits" ? Not really looking for something that requires a "Tune"...
All of you guys are so help full, nice Forum
Do these vinyl covers come in different colors and if so, could you provide the info on the manufacturer?I finally put on my Bemaro caliper vinyls. Definite top quality and super easy to install. It is overcast here in Arizona today but they are brushed bronze against my velocity blue paint and really like the contrast against the black rims.
