2016 GTPP with PP2
I've been fighting Ford over a knocking/ticking sound coming from behind/under my engine for over a year. They refused to dig into it and even blamed my axle backs at one point (LOL). Anyway I finally got a good service advisor willing to fight for me and they verified my claims and have pulled the engine apart. They've decided to replace the "exhaust side cam phaser".
How big of a deal is this and how much damage may have been caused to other components? What should I pressure them into looking into? My 2nd to last oil change analysis came back high in iron, but my last one was clean and looked good.
