Made some neoprene washers :

To replace the ones from a Roush jackal (duck tail) spoiler I picked up second hand at a great price :sunglasses: They fit great :

The spoiler still needs flatting ready for paint, but I’ve managed to get the new wing mirror shells done. The moulding marks were quite raised on both sides :

Other parts of them needed quite a lot of work too ...

Notice the different sizes ... ? Apparently that’s normal for a UK model and we also checked two new forecourt cars just to be sure ...

At least Jess approves of the packaging :

But obviously not of having her photo taken ... lol

Another item from Florida, but this time I bought from @KingBowser and they didn't find their way home in my suitcase ... lol

I wasn't feeling grabber lime and orange side marker reflectors, so after an initial impulse purchase (see here : https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/new-clear-lens-led-side-markers.136564/) I ended up with OE ford units to match the red rear reflectors above the exhaust tips.

These things polish up great with scratch x, I was a bit worried about the UV coating but they don't appear to have any applied by ford :

Once I can source the correct plugs and wiring I may consider illuminating them but until then, I will rely on their reflective properties :

And some well sized grommets fitted with silicon sealant to keep them clean and dry on the inside :

What I have noticed is that the Ford lamps are curved to follow the bumper contours (as are the orange reflectors on UK cars). I'm not sure if this is obvious enough to be an issue with a flat aftermarket replacement ? Are the diode dynamics lamps curved ?

I’ve installed the Chinese aftermarket rear marker lights and the fitment is as good as the OEM reflectors in my opinion.

You do need to make sure it’s well sealed as they are exposed to water ingress.

you can buy the plugs for them on ebay like £3 for 10 then just tap your rear number plate feeds for power/negative.

Picked up a 15 style US GT rear deck panel (also made in 15 according to the ID on the back), I prefer the plain look to the later panel with the two stripes.

It was in pretty pretty good shape, but not quite good enough (even after buffing) to put on a new car so I’ve made the decision to have it painted gloss black with the other items.

That should make it a bit more scratch resistant in future and also give me the option to buff it up if required.

The badge was coming off it any way to either be replaced with a gloss or matt black one, or maybe even body coloured - I’ve yet to decide ... lol

Flatted back with 1500’s :

The worst bits were as expected, under the badge and the bottom edge - exactly where you would grab it to shut the boot (note to self, must fit a boot pull strap) :

I picked it up of eBay for what I thought was a great price and as a bonus, the seller put these items in the package too ! :sunglasses: :

He thought he had given me the upgraded Steeda clutch spring but as it turns out it’s the standard version that wasn’t swapped back before his son sold the car. Never mind, it’s the thought that counts ! :like:

The net was something that was actually on my shopping list (bonus that it’s an OE Ford version) and I’m sure the tools will come in useful when I swap the panel out :sunglasses:

Roush ducktail (Jackal) now flatted back with 1500’s also ready for paint :

I’ve had that for a while now (long before ordering the car !) another great deal from eBay :sunglasses:

I just need to sort the bonnet vents now (anyone know know how to strip the honeycomb grill out of them ?) and then I will be due a trip to the painter :like:

Filing car receipts today and I found the temporary paper templates I used to sanity check the mirror sizing - I thought people might be interested to see just how big the difference is between left and right ...

This is with them fitted to the new ford shells, starting at the very back edge and finishing (approx) at the moulding line :

And on a forecourt car (also checked on a need for green) :

And the difference between the sides ...

Well not specific to my build, but way too cool to keep quiet about ... :sunglasses:

We know Mustang brochures are difficult to get from UK dealers, well look what I got delivered today  :

Courtesy of a US based member who contacted me and insisted on posting them over FOC just to help another enthusiast out ! For obvious reasons I'm not going to name them (ps : PM's won't reveal their identity either ... :lipssealed:), but you know who you are and it's VERY much appreciated :like: :sunglasses:

Although they are region specific and not strictly accurate for the UK market, they are year correct for my car and grabber lime features quite heavily in them :

Rest assured these will be kept as a set with my car documentation and never sold separately (Exactly like the 92 RS brochure I had with my Cosworth) :sunglasses:
