How many mustangs have you owned?

In chronological order:

1984 Mustang LX 2.3L 4 cylinder hatchback - motor blew after I topped it out
1969 Mustang coupe 302 cid 3 speed manual - rear-ended and totaled
1995 Base Mustang GT 5.0L (Last year of the Windsor) 5 speed manual - traded at 200,000 miles
2005 Mustang GT 4.6L 3 valve Premium 5 speed auto - traded at 99,999 miles
2017 Mustang GT base model with performance package - current

Not sure what's next, but I will always have a Mustang. Really want another 60's model eventually for a toy...

Back in the old 'street racing" days, my Mustang got picked on constantly. Left a real bad taste.

I had a '00 S-10 Blazer ZR2 and a '98 S-10 ZR2 pick up that I still have.
I swear; the worst two vehicles to break down and NOT have any miles on them.

And they were major issues like;
oil lines blew apart on the Blazer: $800 to fix. 20,000 miles on it.
My truck; the driveshaft went out @3000 miles.
Among many other things on both vehicles....$$$$$$$$

One reason I got rid of my '15 Camaro SS....

My last GM was a 1995 Z28 I bought in '97 with 10,000 miles on it. water pump went at 20,000 and took out opti spark distributor. Intake manifold oil leak. Tranny went at 25,000. Believe it or not, I never had a issue with any mustang I owned. I did have a 2005 explorer V8 that got lemon lawed due to transmission issues.

How do you like the PP2? I have found that dealers and sellers don't promote the PP2 and in order to find one you gotta painstakingly go to each dealer website, look at wheels, front splitter and/or rear spoiler, or check the window sticker. You can't just type in "performance package 2" and get accurate results. I want to drive one to see how it compares to my 2016 PP1 and maybe swap if I like it.

GM quality and reliability were very good in the 60s. But it declined steadily over the years. I can't say any American car I had since then has been what I would call a keeper. My Mustang GT has been a pleasant surprise.
