Do it! It looks nicer, has updated maps, and seems faster and more responsive.
It is ? I read some reports in those threads that it responds slower, I don't want that... Do you have a 2016? I am wondering if the 2016 early models have different hardware than newer ones, which would imply better CPU"s in the system.

Thanks

Mine seems faster. I have a 2017 though.

What version of the maps is the 3.4 installing in? I have 1 1 1 18 or something, definitely ending in 18

The latest Cyanlabs update now includes 1.19. Maps are usually one year behind. Another reason to upgrade if you are not concerned about possible issues that Ford will not touch.

hey I know this thread is a few months old but I have a question. If i have made changes with forscan to my 3.3 sync. will updating to 3.4 erase those? or does it keep settings and just update. like i have chnaged my splash screen and added buttons to the display that were not normally there. changed my stereo eq and so on.

If I had to guess, this type of update will eliminate your changes. I would suggest reaching out to Cyanlabs. They will be able to tell you if the changes you made are in a file that is changed or not. Good luck.

I made changes with forscan but it was only for the speedo. Sorry.

I believe you are wrong. I have a 2016 GT350R and I upgraded to 3.3.. Officialy, through Ford's web site. It showed "there is a software update available to you" last year when I logged on with my VIN.
Right now, I did an update check over wi-fi in the car and it shows no updates available...
My 2016 is the same... No updates. :(

Change your theme and splash screen back to the factory default. There is a known issue when updating to 3.4 that looks like it bricks your unit but in reality the screen just goes black because the themes are not the same in 3.4

Has the official version been released?
Official 3.4? Nope. Doubt this will ever become an official release for MY18, &19. Buying a MY20 seems to be the only official way to get it.

Only mid 2018+ have the updated APIM and can get 3.3 officially. Again, only path is unofficial Cyanlabs 3.4.
Do you happen to know what the differences are between the 2015 - early 2018 APIMs and the mid 2018 - current APIMs and/or what part number the new APIM is?
