I went FORGELINE. Since they are one of the few brands made in the USA, they will refinish and change colors for you anytime, and at a very reasonable cost. I emailed they they called me in under 10 minutes. Pretty impressive customer service. Just barely over 20 pounds

Thank you. Here you go. Some pictures on a cloudy day to compare how this color changes in the sun.

Track armor. I slapped it on as soon as I got the car until the PPF was installed.

I actually was trying to decide between VB and PB. I really wanted Magnetic, but could not find the right one in the specs, price I wanted. Almost bit on a VB.. but I went down to my local dealership and looked at both the VB on a regular GT and a Ford Raptor, then the Perf Blue on a Raptor. Really liked the contrast of the PB with the black/trim accents and black vinyl. The VB on the GT just was too bright a blue for me.
I prefer darker blues than the shade of the PB, but at night and especially at dusk when the sun is setting the color is really really fantastic and has a lot of character. The more I see VB now the more I like it, but still happy with the PB.
I will be removing the Black stripes though as they are swirl magnets, just can't keep them looking good. May go with Silver and possibly just do a "Mach I" type overlay on the hood vent.. instead of full stripes.

I had a 2018 lightning blue (my favorite blue). I went with a ford performance blue for my 19R. While the metallic in the velocity closely resembles that of the lightning blue, the velocity is also a few shades lighter. It has a feminine hue that resembles baby sky blue. The Ford performance blue is also exclusive to Ford Performance vehicles. That's worth considering.
I realize this comment is almost a year and a half old. The poster has already chosen his color. Nevertheless Velocity blue depending how the light hits each car can be darker than performance blue. Funny that you chose “feminine hue” to describe the color you did not purchase. The color they chose to represent velocity blue on the Ford website is way off. Velocity blue is not a light blue. It’s a very deep blue. Performance blue is more of a silvery blue. Both are great. A person should choose performance blue if they want to be more subtle. PB is also only found on performance vehicles which adds prestige.

If you get Velocity Blue, get a black roof or black stripes.

Performance Blue looks best with white stripes.
I prefer white stripes with either one. Ford matches the colors and stripes as you recommended in your comment. Nevertheless velocity blue is not as light as Ford describes on their website. It can look darker than performance blue depending on the light. The white stripes will stand out more if that’s what you’re looking for. If you want to be more subtle then black stripes with either blue would work.

I ended up adding a VB PP2 in August as I liked both blues. Both are great. VB gets much lighter in the sun. Very hard color to photograph as it changes hue.

I agree, I saw both side by side in an outside lot with overcast skys. To me the velocity blue was a straight bold blue, very different from DIB or Lighting. It was hard to get any black contrast to pop. It's a great color but I went with the more subtle PB that really meshed well with the black accents. They had a 2019 Raptor also on the lot in PB with black accents and that's what sold me.

Interesting that this thread popped up, as I'm pondering color choices for the '22 GT500 I'm convincing myself that I need.....

I have to say that Ford's current color choices pretty much suck, and I'm betting they'll be the same next year. Non-metallics are out (gotta have my flake) and so are the citrus colors (not my thing), so there go Oxford White, Race/Rapid Red, Twister Orange, and Grabber Yellow. I'll never own another black vehicle so out goes Shadow Black, and after seeing how dark Antimatter Blue is in the flesh on an actual vehicle it might just as well be black too. I love my current Magnetic, and after seeing Carbonized Gray I prefer Magnetic hands down.

I really like blue though, and it stinks that Kona is now off the table. So that leaves me with FPB and Velocity. FPB is darker and more subdued (my kind of thing), but I like how Velocity changes in the sun. Decisions.....guess I need to go back and start over on this thread.

I like velocity but I also have gb. The velocity pops more. But darker looks nicer in all actuality. I think dark cars are classy as hell.

I will say that the Perf Blue has the edge at the moment.

(although Iconic Silver with Kona stripes is in the mix with those two blues, too)

I was coming back from a long drive last year and stopped at a gas station to switched places with my daughter. It was heading toward dusk... I stopped for a moment and just stared at the fast back area by the rear window. The depth and color shift of the pb was spectacular. I was completely sold on PB after that... I wish I could have captured that on camera....
