Hello Everyone!

I have a completely stock 2019 GT Premium with an a10 and magneride/pp1 (3.55 gears)

I will be installing a Gen 5 stage 2 whipple along with an OPG/CS upgrade, beefing up the trans a little bit, and adding some bmr cradle lockouts... What else is recommended to prevent premature failures? I am not looking to push this thing over 850 hp as I enjoy street driving... Tire / Wheel mods coming right after the install.

#1 Driver mod: simple get an extra 4.0 or larger pulley and start with that first. It will allow time to recalibrate your assometer, as well as get rings worn in at higher temps/loads before pushing for max power/cylinder temps. Stock ring gaps can be a weee bit tight for 850hp, so running lots of high rpm at lower power first might get you just enough wear so they dont bind and rip the ring lands up thru the piston heads.

Dunno, but thinkn wrecking it, and ring lands, prolly cover the majority of major FI outages?

A stock stage 2 you are fine with a bap. You'll want an upgraded fuel system to.get to 850whp though. Not mandatory but probably want a 315 gear at that point too

Thanks for the advice guys, Can any of you recommend a great street wheel/tire setup to keep me alive after getting the whipple installed? I used to have 275s/315s on my charger but I'm not familiar with what people are running on boosted mustangs. I will get dedicated slicks for the track.

I'm on 325 4s right now and blow the tires of at anything under 70mph, so no summer tire is going hold. Next I'm going to try R888 in either a 325 or a 345.

Contact Cory at Apex wheels. Tell him what you want to do and let him set you up with a wheel and tire bundle. They really know their stuff about S550 fitment. You may get in on a group buy and save more. He set me up with what you see in my description. Very happy. NOTHING will dead hook from low speeds with Whipple if you floor it.

I highly recommend some upgraded halfshafts. I broke a drivers side stock shaft on the stock calibration our first time out to the track with drag radials only. DSS and Gforce both make really nice offerings. A one piece driveshaft and safety loop would also be something I recommend. We run the CF DSS one on our car and it's worked really well for us. No vibrations at all and it's been 8.60's multiple times cutting 1.27 60 ft's with no issues.

Feel free to give me a shout if you have any other questions and I'll be glad to assist you.

Thanks!

Any idea on what the sale will be? just curious cause I am about to get a stage 2 kit from a buddies shop. Has one on the shelf, reg size heat exchanger but with the fans. Great price but maybe the sale will beat it.

PS. Sorry for asking on your post.
