dual pixel AF is definitely a game changer for Canon!

the 100-400 is an insane lens if you stop down at least 2/3 of a stop. At f/8, it's as sharp as anything. If you put a teleconverter on and stop down 2/3 of a stop, it stays very sharp.

This is some video I took in my back yard the other day. I shot with the 100-400 lens + 1.4x teleconverter on the EOS R @4k resolution and produced at 1080p. Some of the shots are 100% crops from the 4k video. effectively with the teleconverter and the 4k crop, some of these shots are at 1000mm, which is pretty cool. Quality is there, I think!

The video looks sharp and will have to invest in a TC. Appreciate the input and video link, that sold me. Canon owes you a commission? LOL

Added PP1 wheels and finally got some shots good enough for this thread.

Test drove the new 135L F2 with CP last evening and this is at F2.
Some AF issues as it got darker, and know what to do next time, but overall very happy with the purchase.

you definitely got the right idea getting low. That's where this lens shines is when you shoot from low to the ground.

This past weekend I fortunate enough to take our Expedition from Wisconsin to Missouri to see some friends (a fellow M6G member here). We loaded up two of his cars (718 GTS and Whipple S550) and made our way over to Raceway Park of the Midlands for a private track event. We were joined by a Fiesta ST, another Mustang GT, a WRX, and a GTI.

This was my first time attempting track day photos. I did not get many on track shots as I was riding around and the media-safe locations for the track were limited as far as I knew.
