Picked up a set of the optional PP1 split 5 spoke wheels a while back and was curious on the weights.
Nobody seemed to know on those wheels where as there is information about the normal PP1 wheels everywhere.

Heres my findings with my 350 lb digital scales for anyone wondering. All wheels had the stock Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires at 9/32 tread.
They are both still pretty heavy!

Stock PP1 wheels:

Front: 63.6 lbs each
Rear : 67.0 lbs each
Total: 261.2 lbs

Optional PP1 wheels:

Front: 59.2 lbs each
Rear : 62.6 lbs each
Total: 243.6 lbs

So 17.6 lbs lighter for the forged split 5 spokes.

FWIW my current flow formed 20 x 9.5 and 20 x 10.5 305Forged wheels with 285/30/20 and 305/30/20 Goodyear Supercar 3 tires were just 226.0 lbs.

Wow, Ford does say these are forged.

Are you sure the tires are the same on both sets? A previous poster weighed them and found they were only 0.4lbs lighter front and 1lbs lighter rear.... if you trust his bathroom scale.

Yes,both had the factory mounted 255/40/19 and 275/40/19 Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires with all showing 9/32 tread.

I weighed them 3 times each to verify the numbers.

So you’re saying his bathroom scale lied?

Lots of spun forged wheels in the 10” widths run 24-26 lbs or that range, and one would expect Ford’s selections to be a little on the beefy side so your weights do make sense.

i wonder if these are spun forged (forged barrels) or fully forged (forged wheel faces too)

No way those wheels are actually forged. Only 4 pounds lighter than the regular PP wheels?? So 29-ish pounds per wheel....TRUE forged wheels are typically about 10-15 lbs lighter than the regular PP wheels

What Ford says. Take it for what you want.

No idea but I'd like to know about their construction.

Not saying anyone lied... Just saying what my scales read after weighing them 3 times each.

They only true way to know is to weigh the bare wheel without tires.

The front wheel is JR3Z-1007-H and the rear is JR3Z-1007-J
I am looking for a used set and they seem to be hard to find.
