By chance does anyone have the info on these kits, like part numbers? Or anyone at FP that would be a good contact?

Can anyone fill me in on the end result of the Tech vs Track pack GT350 lawsuit. I have no skin in the game as I had a Track Pack but I am curious as to the outcome.

thank you in advance

Crazy ........ thought they would have settled by now. At this point I wonder what the owners are expecting ????

Edit: I need more caffeine. I was think track pack when writing this... I should have said Tech Pack.

Anyone have any idea how this will impact those of us who purchased a used 2016 TECH Pack? Will we be excluded?

Thanks!

I like to disassemble things.
Did your Track Pack car somehow not come with coolers?

Hah! What @Epiphany is saying is that you, with your Track Pack, already have what the Tech Pack folks are fighting for. The MY2016 options were mutually exclusive - you could get one or the other but not both.

I'm sick of being stuck in side. :( I should have said Tech Pack. Sorry for the confusion.

When all is said and done, I would LOVE to see what it cost Ford to defend this lawsuit vs. the cost to install the trans and diff coolers in the 50 2015 Techs, 177 2016 Bases and the 3,814 2016 Techs.

I estimate the overhaul would be to the tune of 5K for each car.

Legal expenses add up pretty quick. Maybe the rationale is that they want to make a stand?

I estimate the overhaul would be to the tune of 5K for each car. I think a few of us, back in the heyday, came up with a substantially similar number.

Legal expenses add up pretty quick. Maybe the rationale is that they want to make a stand? Seems to be the case.
Taking it a step further:
4,041 x $5,000 = $20,205,000

That assumes 100% of the vehicles get the coolers.

I would think there would be substantially fewer due to: accidents, lack of interest, folks wanting to retain originality, mechanical breakdowns making cars unusable, buybacks...

These are interesting reads:
https://risksettlements.com/blog-and-articles/settling-class-actions-defending-companys-perspective/

https://news.bloomberglaw.com/class...class-action-costs-with-aggressive-management

From the Bloomberg:
Approximately 21% consistently take an aggressive stance, and 14.9% employ a “defend at all costs” approach. Still, 73.1% of cases filed as class actions were resolved by settlement, either on an individual or class-wide basis, and just 2% were reportedly tried.

Seems like this lawsuit is peanuts in the grand scheme of things.
