I just went through the same decision process and just recieved a Ronin Factory drain valve. I've used Femco and EZ-Drain valves in the past but those are threaded screw in units. The Ronin looks super high quality. Part# X001V01XTH.

So I was reading on their website that to make sure that our vehicle uses the yellow plastic plug but I thought the 2016s don't use that plug they just use a normal bolt plug ?

That I can't answer, but I think I remember hearing they changed plugs types at some point not necessarily at model year change. Perhaps change from metal to plastic pan? You should get underneath and look to verify. You would have to know that regardless of brand you choose. The newer style is like a quarter turn twist-lock not screw type threads.

Only 2018+ have the plastic pan with yellow plastic drain plug.
