Had enough of aftermarket CAI & HIGH IAT's. So here's my fix.

Unless you are at the strip, I see this as a non-issue. Am I missing something?
Sitting anywhere in heat is a problem. Whether it's a stop light or staging lane. Higher iats mean less timing. Less timing means less power regardless of how you are using it.

I'm a stickler for consistent performance. I notice big power drops from high IATs just pulling out of parking lots after shopping too, when the factory box is still heatsoaked

I was wondering if the '18 kit would fit on 15-17's. Hmm. Got some $ to spend, lol. How was install/fitment?
Fit is great its the same box :) but if you want to use the push pins like mine you'll have to drill out the holes.
you have to call Roush to order.

Yeah, I get how timing works. But like I said, this is still a non-issue anywhere but the strip.

At the track, there's no idle time unless an accident that causes a blockage occurs. On the street who cares if you lose a few horsepower because of retarded timing. Street racing is illegal anyway. It isn't like the heat is going to damage anything. I'm all for mods, my car is highly modified at this point. But for the average Joe with an open element air filter driving on public streets, it isn't an issue.

Run E85. Burns cooler and negates a lot of any high iat issues imo. If you can.

This. Love the performance plus the cooler running temps even in the hellish summers here in Phoenix.

Yes.. E85. Only problem is that in my neck of the woods E85 only comes in a 5 gallon pail or 55 gallon drum, sadly..

I feel your pain. Here we really only get flex fuel which is around e54 and only at select stations. Only in the last few months were a couple identified having real e85. To me that's limited so can't imagine having the drum method being the only option.

Yeah that sucks and it is $5.00 a gallon. You could buy it and mix yourself E25-30 and get some benefit of higher octane and slight cooler cylinder temps. Mix 4 gallons per tank.
