I'm literally talking about the outer door panel not the one where the hand grip is..this is already a soft material. Coming out of BMWs and PCars kind of having a hard time with this. My wifes 2020 Ford Escape has a soft touch door panel, except the rears. If you want the soft touch panels for the rears you have to move on to the Corsair.

I don't think there would be any "simple" solutions, most of the solutions i've seen on this sight are either upholstery shops which is gonna be the easiest route or custom fabbing something. Some info in these threads

Here's probably the best you could do with a good shop and tons of cash:

If you're referring to the upper door panels, I believe the GT350 and Premier Trim GT models came soft touch upper door panels like you're describing. I noticed it in my friend's '17 GT350 and I was a bit envious.

Huh, must've been an option on them too, then. The ones in my friend's GT350 were noticeably softer than my base GT which has the same hard material for the upper door panel as the lower door panel and center console.

I bought a GT PP1 and those areas are soft touch. Lower doors and back seat panels are hard plastic.

Top of 17 Prem door trim is hard plastic, on 18 Prem it's soft touch as is the top of the console. Lower part of both is hard plastic.

I'll nitpick for a moment and say that "soft touch" on a Mustang is not as soft as the material on a 1998 M3.

OTOH, the Mustang steering wheel doesn't turn into chewing gum in hot weather. :cwl:

Yea I just got out of a 2013 BMW M3 that I have had since new and the cloth seats I can deal with for awhile but the hard plastic doors and center console having issues. There were no PP1 6MT cars in my area when I bought due to Covid. Got a great deal and will just start piecing this together. Funny started out in a Mustang will probably end up retiring in a Mustang. After 20 years of BMWs and PCars...
