As you may already know the very first Pilot Production R model built was chassis "PP001" and came with Shadow Black paint and Black OTT stripes and was a 2016 Base R Model.

The VIN ended in "G5200165" which by the way is a VIN series that was set aside just for Pilot Production vehicles.

I found it interesting that Ford decided to not produce any 2015 Pilot Production R models and am quite sure that "PP001" was assembled at least 2 months prior to any of the 137 GT350/R's for 2015 even though "PP001" was a 2016 model vehicle.

Whatever you decide it will be interesting to see the final result and if you want a picture of the chassis plate for "PP001" or a picture of the car just let me know!
