Have you tried to back trace the wires from that location to see where they go?

I know what it is, but I'm under several NDA's.

No haha my friends dad is a general manager at a big Jeep Dodge Ford dealer in Tampa and said guy traded it in for one of those Jeep Trucks.

It's the thingy that is a pass through for the thing that makes that one sound for the other thingy. I heard it was designed by that one guy. You know who I'm talking about, right? With the eyes and hair? Yeah, that guy.

Maybe it's an anti-thief cutout switch - it might disable a fuse circuit so the car won't start. Looks like there's a red LED glowing inside it indicating it's got power.

Press it to see if the red LED goes out, then try to start the car.

I’d do what someone mentioned upthread; Trace the wires to see where it leads. I can’t think of anything I recall seeing mod wise that has a contraption like that.

Not sure what tracing the wires will tell you- they look like just a power/ground pair that could be for anything- just a light, or an electrobobbic infinulator.
If you can unmount it, I expect that there will be some identification markings on the case.
That spinny arrow switch looks like a "pair" switch for some sort of wireless/bluetooth device.
Google image search did not find anything similar.

Be sure to let us know what you find out- don't be like the guy who couldn't find his key a few months ago.
We like to know about these things.

Between the zip tie and sketchy double back tape, that is definitely not an OEM part.... Also factory wires in the engine bay are TESA taped and not bare like this.. Looks like it could be a GPS tracker or kill switch like others said.

Trace those wires and if it doesn't go to a harness, I'd remove it.
