After the replacement of my bumper yesterday, this is how it looks now. Again, much better than it was when I bought the car in June 2018...

PS: Do you have the black accent package?

I have no issue with the drivers side, its just the passenger side. There are many with the issue and many that dont have it. Im just very picky and this is my first brand new vehicle I have ever bought. I may ask the dealer about the issue and see what they say. Did you take yours in for that specific issue? and is that why it was replaced???

My 2018 Mustang GT has ceramic coating, and the XPEL film.
With that in mind, I hand wash every fortnight. And, I often park rear first (unless in my garage).

Now that I have laid the initial details, let me explain. Yesterday, I took my car in to get the oil changed and tyre rotation.

With all businesses changing how things are done now, due to Covid-19, once my car was finished, no inspection was done by me, and I left.

Once I got home (right after the oil change, etcetera), I was about to wash the car. Then noticed the space separation between the headlight and bumper (see image). You can even see the clips.

I reviewed all the footage from my Garmin 55. However, the part where I think it happened, was not recorded. To me, when the car was being driven into the bay, something happened. Alas, when you power on the car, there is about a 30-60 second window where the camera is not recording (since it is 'coming on'). That is when I think it happened.

Update:
Above details from my first post. Once I got home and noticed the vast difference in the spacing on the passenger side, I phoned the dealer. They asked me to bring it in, and they reseated the bumper.

do you have before and after pics of the passenger side headlight area? Mine had the gap apparently when purchased. I have had the bumper off and wasnt able to fit it any better and the gap still remains... I do like a nice gap but not on my car... :giggle:

Post your front headlight/bumper, let's see how big the gap is.
In my original photo, you will notice, you can even see the clips...

same on mine, but not quite as bad.

most of the stories i read from ppl trying or getting dealership to try and fix it was underwhelming, so i decided to just live with it.

No gap on either side of mine. My left (passenger side) rear quarter valance pops out maybe 2-3mm about 4 inches long. If I press it in it stays for couple weeks. lol.

I guess I am asking myself, how is this even a thing.

After all, it is not like we received a free car. In some cases (mine), we are still paying for the car, and this leads me to believe that the rest of the car can just fall apart 'easily'.
Maybe it is an acceptable percentage ratio of poor quality, by Ford.

Albeit, glad to know I am not the only one that has/had this issue. Then again, now that the dealership has since reseated the bumper and it fits perfectly, why was this not done the first time...(from factory)?

I have the same exact issue on my black 2019 GT. Do you know what the dealership end up doing? Was it it just removing and readjusting or did they have to replace anything? Thanks!
Just FYI Vince the person you are asking hasn't been on the forum in over a year and a half.
