Two years ago I had an infection in my left ankle and right knee that had me down for 12 weeks. I put one of these on my clutch and it really helped. I didn't need to extend in any way to get the clutch down. It also might provide some space for your boot, won't catch the brake on the way down..

Try having a cane or rod with a block at the end and use your left hand to push in the clutch. Just use your knees to steer!

When I was 18 I ended up with surgery on my left foot. Made it real tough to drive my 66 Mustang 4 speed. A friend showed me how to shift it without using the clutch. Tricky for sure but put me back on the road until I could use my left foot for the clutch again. And no I did not break that transmission doing that.
Wonder if you can do that with these newer transmissions?

You can shift these without using the clutch, but still need it to take off. That's how big rigs are driven. Use the clutch to start, then rev-match up through the gears, and back down.
