I’m almost tempted to try it up on the turnpike but the woo woo woo boys could get me
Come on...don't be a wuss! They wouldn't arrest an old fart. They would just assume you got confused and didn't know what you were doing. :)

John, can you describe this a bit more so I know what to look for? Does it fail to shift and hit the limiter or does it just stop accelerating and stay at 123?
Hit the highway at 45 floor it... Look down because it's no longer accelerating, its stuck at 123 and the rpms are red lined and it won't shift. It's happened 3 times. Once at 121, then at 123 twice. Was in a little follow the leader race last night with a mustang but he wasn't fastest enough and he was losing control so I hit the brakes at around 120. So everything is great overall so its weird when you look down at 120+ and you're redlined and no longer accelerating like a bat out hell any longer.

Yeah they said they were working on correcting the issue just before covid-19 shutdown the state. Michigan has some of the strictest rules and the Detroit area is one of the hardest hit areas in the country. I'm very hopeful they will have a fix. My guess is it affects all their 2020 stage 3 and Jack Roush editions. They can't afford to have $80k+ cars with an issue like this.
This is actually Ford’s issue in having these stupid limiters in the first place. Why? There are a lot of mustangs out there that will hit limiters (a10’s) at 123 and 130 mph. Yep, another one that puts the car into limp mode @ 129-130 mph. Check out 100mphclub youtube video on that one. Same thing happened to mine tuned. Car runs like crap until you pull over and shut car off. Lolz...

Yeah on phase 1 it had a blip at around 130 but it least shifted on it's on eventually

Ford must have got some kick back or EPA pass restricting their 460 hp mustangs under the table. I mean do you think a dealer tech is going to check that one out...? No...

So, it sounds like pulling the upshift paddle at around 120 should elimimate the issue.....until they have a fix.

Yes they said they have confirmed that if you up shift it manually at or before 121-123 it will be fine to 155.

So basically your telling me the car won’t rev, shift or go faster then 123, it will just hold it there?

Stymee, it is possible that your car with the 3.15 gear will not be affected. You should have a 5-6 gear change around that speed. Those of us with 3.55 have a 6-7 shift at around that speed.

Wow, that's crazy about the cars not going past 123 and redlining. Is it the torque management cutting it off? (I don't know, just guessing here.)
Is this on the Phase 1 and Phase 2 cars, or both??

I had never heard of it on the Roush tune until jmtoast brought it up. Zinc03svt seems to be most familiar with it and knows what causes it.

Both on some. Another poster datalogged it on phase 1 about a year ago. Said it was speed limiters. I tested it and saw the same thing but didn't have a way to verify that it was speed limiters.

Mine and 100mphclub’s logs showed torque source 7 at those mph’s. That is a TCU rpm limiter. Pretty sure you all will be the same. Probably also explains why manual cars are not seeing these?
