Anyone experience this, have any advice, or idea what it could be: Whenever I accelerate I hear this weird sound that seems to be coming from the exhaust or under the car (doesn’t sound like it’s from the engine). I can’t correlate it to anything except accelerating. It can be heard starting around 1200-1600 rpm, give or take, and it continues as I drive. The simplest comparison of the sound would be a continual old creaky door or like a constant creak for a cricket.

A post on here reported a similar sound. A plastic tag on the driveshaft was striking a portion of the underbody, creating a playing-card-in-the-spokes type sound.

That’s is one way to describe it. Does it state where that tag was?

It was on the driveshaft. It looks like a big barcode.

The plastic tag looked like a barcode?
Yup. It was actually a heavy duty sticker that they put on parts to ID them in the factory. The barcode identifies it as a manual or auto trans driveshaft.

At this point, I would be looking for anything of the said noted situation.

On the driveshaft. It's only so long.

Couldn’t figure out what it is. From under the car I tighten the hoses to the intercooler, tighten the connectors from the down pipe on the exhaust, adjusted the tips of the exhaust, and removed any loose tags or stickers I could see. Only this I could think of that’s noticeable that I didn’t do was cut or remove the frayed parts of some heat shields that were notice. All in all they weren’t bad and I didn’t notice anything that seemed like it would make the noise.
