A lot of info in the forced induction section already. I suggest searching on the forums man. Both are solid.

They're both great kits. If you're staying with the canned tune, go Whipple.

MT82 and not the supplied tune, I’d say Edelbrock. Pretty much any other combo, go the Whipple.
Too many complaints on here with the Edelbrock supplied tune.

Love my Whipple with custom E85 tune. Extremely well made supercharger.

Whipple Gen 5 with 132mm throttle body is king of the hill in my book. E-Force and VMP Odin also make for nice systems.

The edelbrock looks like a nice system and was a close second when I chose mine. It looks very “factory” which is important to me. However, IMO there are 2 issues with the kit. One is that the cal reportedly isn’t very good for drivability. I haven’t driven one but this is what many say. Secondly, edelbrock really spins blower fast and pushes a lot of boost. I’ve seen some owners buy the stage 2 kit then slow the blower down the blower to a reasonable speed. Some aftermarket tuners won’t even tune it on the supplied stage2 pulleys.

I went with the Whipple stage 2 27,000 miles ago and I’m happy with the kit, supplied pulley, and supplied cal.

Either one will burn street tires at anything below about 60 mph.

For what it’s worth, I’ve asked some of the best Mustang shop owners what their FI choice would be. Every one of them said “Whipple hands down.”

I just purchased my second one, so there’s that too.

Do you want keep your warranty?
seeing as my car is a 17 and has 54,000 miles (almost outside the powertrain warranty) oil changes done every 4-5k and trans and diff. fluid changed, as well as new brakes and rotors. Will be getting a gen 5 stage 2 with OPG/CS, headers, bmr bushings, boost-a-pump and lowering springs.

That is how i felt when it came down to Whipple and Edelbrock. Too many people said whipple just from the support on forums.
