Is your car a 19 and the exhaust is already rusted at the welds ? geez. I knew Fords rust as they sit in garage, but I was expecting our cars to be made better ... I am going to go check mine right now...

Not sure how to reply "I knew Fords rust as they sit in garage, I was expecting our cars to be made better" but yes it is a 19.

Looking forward to your feedback on how they perform (both comparative braking and dust build up). As impressed as I am with the GT350 braking, I spend more time cleaning the wheels than the entire car. :curse:

That's not rust, it's horsepower dots.

Not sure if you are being facetious or not. One could leave that exhaust alone for probably 20 years and it would have no bearing on the exhaust beyond the superficial appearance. Just about any modern day assembly line exhaust weld will look like that.

They turn that color from the heat. If you look behind the chrome heat shields on a Harley exhaust, the pipes look like that or even worse. Supposed to be stainless steel, but not the best grade.

I think I read somewhere that the corrosion enhances the exhaust sound of the Voodoo.

Extra holes from rust in the exhaust would provide VooDoo exhaust notes from all different angles... now everybody at the intersection on all corners will be able to hear the WAIL....!!!!!!
We'll get more thumbs up from fellow drivers who want to hear the exhaust.

There's no way you "need" to remove the splitter to install that stuff. Guys must just be doing it for convenience??
I like Auto Fanatic's videos but sometimes he can be a bit "over the top" You will need the car on a lift, or jack stands/ramps in order to properly see what you are doing. Even to take it off if someone chooses to go that route.

... and if you have a GT350, where the splitter is 250, just get a spare... it is not that expensive in case it gets really scratched. I did scratch mine a few times ( on the 350) and you could not tell unless you look underneath. Who cares. If you are really concerned, just get a replacement. Ended up selling the replacement separately, never installed, not that big of a deal.

Now I understand this for an R where the splitter is over 1G...
You have a valid point there... the sliplo kit is $100. I guess i've heard so many guys say the sounds of scraping can be a bit unsettling, plus this tends to allow it to glide which reduces the drag on the splitter. Not that it would tear off; I think you would have to be doing something really bad to tear off the splitter (assuming it was installed properly).

Lorne, I think I would run the Sliplo if I did go with a kit, however to be honest I have never scrapped. I go like 1 mph over bumps and stuff and go at an angle with no issues.
