This was tried during the Civil war and the SCOTUS pushed back.

I wouldn't be surprised if something like this happened as we are in unprecedented times and controlling the spread is our utmost priority. However, this is a major red flag as we've already seen this administration wish to suppress the freedom of the press and spread misinformation and lies.

Deny progress when you're the minority. (I.E. Obamas presidency)
Run on a nationalist platform based around choosing one side or the other
Stack courts in your favor as to do illegal things legally
Lie about illegal things
Blame an entire race for the country's problems
Voter suppression
Wait for a national crisis (we are here)
Suspend rights in the name of nationalism to solve said crisis
Jail political opponents
Dictatorship

This was Hitlers playbook.

Now, it is farfetched to say we are going towards fascism but it really doesn't take much when you have a cult of supporters who follow you around wearing your memorabilia, chanting your slogans; and claiming you can do no wrong.

What? That is a part of history and many of those same practices used to come to power then are used today. I'm not proclaiming anyone is acting as Hitler, rather, detailing what fascists do.

Do I need to cite times where this administration has denied a previous presidents progress, ran on nationalists ideals, lied about illegal practices, blamed entire races for our problems, suppressed voting, etc? Like I said, I'm not proclaiming we're going towards fascism, but there is an awful lot of similarities and the MAGA chanting, MAGA hat wearing, rally holding, 'my president is the greatest ever,' virus hype is a hoax to oust my never did nothing wrong president, cult following isn't helping.

After reading that Snopes article, it seems like those men were just using their 1st and 2nd amendments. Perhaps be a little less racist?

On the other hand, in the run up to Kemps 2018 election, he purged 8% of all registered Georgians from voter rolls, an act described as "the largest mass disenfranchisement in US history" by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution newspaper. Seventy five percent of the registrations purged or put on hold belonged to minorities. He won by 1.4% thus why people say he stole it.

Also, he is currently under investigation by the House ethics committee.
