No. I installed mine with the provided tape and the screws, The tape began to peel off in 2 days. I used double sided Gorilla tape and it is staying put now but it mainly so water doesnt get in thru the tab holes from the stock spoiler. Screws are the way to go with this one.

A rubber plug like those would raise the spoiler a bit further than I would be comfortable with. I still would want to keep it down with double sided tape like the stock spoilers are and the screws just provide some much welcomed assurance it will stay put.
