Anybody tried filling the voids in the factory trans mount bushing with a urethane or similar product? I had to remove the Whiteline insert due to excessive NVH and heard about this in another older thread. In that thread the user used 3M window weld and spoke highly of the results.

It would be interesting to see a gopro video of just how much that bushing compresses under load.

Will be doing mine soon, but I’m not filling the whole thing. Probably just the two end spaces. I’m using the high temperature 80a stuff.

When I installed my whiteline bushing I cut the middle part out completely and only installed the sides. I tried it first with a long drilled out hole in the center as recommended but the NVH was terrible. Without the middle part it’s completely tolerable for a daily with only a hint more vibration than stock - I’m pretty sensitive to this stuff and it doesn’t bother me.

I would rather have the MGW shifter and pull the insert back out but that will have to wait.

An good aftermarket shifter or a Blowfish bracket will make things functionally better. I tried the Whiteline bushing and for me, it just increased NVH with very little improvement.

I would agree for sure. It’s a cheap option that paired with the BG fluid helped out but the NVH is silly if you don’t cut the entire middle out. There is definitely a reason Ford left that gap.

I used the Energy Suspension shifter bushing and trans. mount insert combo (part # 4.1141). It has worked great with a very solid feel and no added NVH.
