You are taking me back man, that is gorgeous! I was too young for one of those at the time, but i cleaned em on the showroom floor and drooled...along with a VTR 750 and the one I’d love to find even still today, an RC51.

My first sport bike was a VTR 250...lol at that color scheme, but i was 13 and smitten!
Hahaha! That was when they were called 'crotch rockets'.
From around 1985 to 1995. That's the era that I like the most. The racers were super hot then.
Yeah, some of the colors of the time were loud, for sure. I'm sure you love the 250!

i put more miles on each of my bikes individually, each year, than i do the mustang. my life revolves around 2 wheels...... as the saying goes, 4 wheels move the body and 2 wheels move the soul.
the current stable....

Nice bikes!
I used to put a lot of miles on my bikes, but that decreased over the last 10 years, since cell phones really took hold.
now I usually just ride local areas I know well.

Same here.

@jvandy50, I too wish I would have acted on a pristine RC51 a few years back. Still regretting it.

So topic pretty much explains it but any motorcycle riders on here? Looking for reasons why you chose a GT or EB given the acceleration we have on bikes. Granted, I do ride a sport bike but still and insight would be appreciated!
I’ve had quite a few bikes in my life time. My current and probably my last is a 19’ Road Glide. Here’s a picture installing taller bars, heated grips and lighted controls. I’m washing it today and taking some more pictures.

I chose the GT for the performance and V8 sound. The Harley because I like to cruise around and enjoy being out and about on a bike. Don’t care about performance. I really like cruising and listening to tunes on a touring bike.

June 2020 I sold my Nightrain and bought a 2013 BMW K1600 GTL 1.6L straight 6

I would love to have kept the Nightrain, but don't have the space in my garage.

Snapped a photo of mine today. Going to wash it tomorrow it’s going to be almost 70*!

18 gsxs1000 painted in grabber blue lol

It’s the fastest thing I own, I drive an ecoboost but I get my adrenaline on this on occasion. Only put 2k miles on it in the last 3 years though

I got the GT first and then got a 250cc 9 months later to save miles, wear, and tear. Daily a bike for 4 miles to work on a one way street (access roads) doesn't worry me a lot.
