My daughter insisted so people knew it was mine :cwl:
I understand. My son, after winning many racing championships rode with me on a track day for the 1st time. After I missed an apex by "a lot", he wanted me to take a paternity test.

I ordered a tyre paint pen for a couple of quid and filled in the letters on my tyres. It's taken about 2 hours so far, and i'm about half way through....

I doubt it'll last very well - probably come off if the pressure washer goes anywhere near it. I was thinking about sealing it somehow but not sure how...

if you're really lucky it'll come off with the pressure washer and not leave any of that nasty grey/white marking

I like it. My worry would be that half of it comes off with the pressure washer...

I've bought some yellow alloygators , I've watched the fitting video 3 times but I have the mechanical aptitude of Homer Simpson so something is bound to go wrong

It'll look yellow and crack and flake long before a pressure washer gets near it. Those pens are shit. Ask me how I know.

The only solution is the proper stickers from the States.

Im not expecting these to last, but if i can give it a top up coat every couple of months to refresh i'll be happy. Cant do that with the rubber ones.

I've had the stickers previously, and they look good for about 4-6 months at most, and when you peel them off they leave the sidewalls in a bit of a state. Ask me how i know!

Lock down mod catch up.
Removed the cheeky hydrocarbon trap from the intake. Fitted aFe flat panel Air filter.
Found a box of led conversions in the garage that I got from New Zealand ages ago, and a new set of Coplus sequential smoked indicators. Decided to go conventional led so now I am fully led’d and have a set of Coplus to sell ( I think they suit other colour cars better).
And, finally got all four Bullitt alloys fitted. Still not sure on chrome or black nuts but have gone black (covers) to see if I like them. I’ll have a standard GT set of wheels for sale too. Need to deal with the calipers now I can see them. Red is obvious but gloss black would also work. Oil cooler reposition is the next important step once we’re allowed to travel.

You must've had the cheap ones?

There are 3 variants available from the company I used: temporary, semi-permanent (5-8K miles) and permanent. I went for permanent.

I would hazard a guess I've done around 2.5K miles with them and they still look almost as good as they day they went on. I've cleaned them once with the proper stuff they came with and there is no way you're even peeling them off, let alone them just coming loose by themselves.

Definitely not the cheap ones - they were the genuine Treadwear version @ ÂŁ70, but totally different to your style. Aside from the white letters getting dirty and impossible to clean, the edges of all letters became kind of shrunken and looked crappy.

those front tyres look to have a bit of stretch? Are they the right size tyre or have You gone for 4 rear wheels for square setup?

Certainly sound similar, but they only seem to do the one type so hard to say which of the three that I had a choice of they compare to.
