Much better than just disconnecting the re circulation tube, because it stays closed during light acceleration, so no constant hiss on the highway, but one thing I did notice is a high pitched whine each time after it vents. Hopefully that goes away once it gets lubed up from driving. Don't think I want to live with that whine.

While driving today I couldn’t hear the whistle over the engine, road noise and radio. Guess it’s not a big deal.

The only lubing I've heard of is a tiny bit while installing, but it will also get lubed with driving.

Nope, it will need to be taken apart and cleaned occasionally.

I do not know if it does say that, but I know from running turbo cars for 30+ years that you will have to clean it. Add it to your maintenance schedule for once a year.

What do you clean? Just wipe down the valve tube thingy?

Sorry for reviving an old thread, but after countless searches it looks like you’re the only one to try the GFB VTA on the Ecoboost. Did you have any issues with clearance, any change in driving response (Better or worse)?
