Im currently running the large 10 or 11 inch filter with mak inlet on my procharger. My issue is if i get caught in water the filter sits very close to the bottom of fender liner. I was thinking of going a shorter filter or chopping the inlet pipe it self. However i dont want to hurt any performance. Any thoughts on this?

I personally would cut the pipe and raise it near the top. I lost a car before due to this same issue when I was younger. Raining very hard and a street flooded was forced to take the road due to other roads being closed and hydro locked the engine. I considered turbos but would never run the bottom mount and style definitely never use a fender intake again due to personal experience.

Yea im not sure what my best bet is for the procharger. Ditch intake and use a blower guard?

Wow. And the mak was supposed to make power. And tune adjustment needed for not running a inlet?

Like 80fox mentioned no tune changes needed. That gain came at and after 6500rpm. To be fair, Mak’s inlet is badass! The difference between the open blower and the original 3.5”/smaller filter procharger inlet would’ve likely been 25-35whp.

Consider this. Pull any inlet, even the JLT with big filter, from the front of a Paxton or Vortech and that car gains 30+whp. So the Procharger only gaining 17whp from removing the mak inlet shows that it flows very well.

True. Do you think the gains with mak come from the tube or the filter?
