Not only did you have a Ruby Red Shelby it was another “R” model! AWESOME!
When I ordered my car the dealer didn’t have an allocation for one and if they did it would of been over sticker. I toy with the idea of selling my hot rod and Roush and getting a GT350R. Not an easy decision I’ve had the hot rod 28 years. Your friends garage, trailer and car collection is every car guys fantasy. Very impressive! Money no object I’d like to have a Ruby Red F-150 with matching white stripes to my Shelby. Car obsession is what motivates me to get up happy every day and enjoy life!

Three Cobras I owned over the past 20 years or so before getting the GT...1997, 1999 and 2003. Also my 2011 Audi S4.

Always love a good rolling shot, and there are two. I only have one good rolling shot of my own cars (other than track photos). This makes me think I should try to get more. I'm lucky to sort of own my dream garage right now (993, GT350R, E39 M5, E36 race car, Fiesta ST). I cover a sports car, a brutal sports/muscle car, sport sedan, hot hatch - scratches all the itches.

Past cars I loved and miss:
1993 E34 wagon with big-six (3.5L M30) and manual transmission swap. This thing was an absolute tank, not super fast but so much fun, especially in snow with its 53% rear weight bias and Nokian Hakka R tires. I think this one ties for car I owned the longest (7 years) with the next one ...

1987 BMW 535is ... before and after Euro bumper conversion. This is the best car I've ever owned, hands-down, and I miss it dearly. Was rear-ended in it by some asshole who was not paying attention while I was stopped at a light with nowhere to go to escape. Watched him drive up and knew I was getting hit, but was trapped by curbs on one side and oncoming traffic on the other. I still get angry about it.

(Hiding in the background - the Saab 900 Turbo I got for nearly-free and drove through much of grad school; that girl was a warhorse too.)

Some of the last pictures I took of the 2002 Z06 before I lost it a flood and insurance company totaled it. Another fun car to drive. Got to say the GT350 is a great replacement to say the least, it feels VERY special! When they forecast heavy rain I don’t sleep!

I get that you don't want to part with your hot rod especially after some 28 years but can say with all honesty and after having numerous Muscle Cars/Mustangs over the last 5 decades I can't say enough about the GT350's and especially the R model therefore that is something that you might want to consider going forward.

As with you our car obsession (all things Mustang for me) keeps us young, motivated and happy each and every day that we have left on this earth!

If you ever get over my way just give me some notice and you can take my R model out on the back roads of Arizona which is especially a great deal of fun in Track Mode as the aural sound of these cars with no resonators at 8250 RPM is something to behold.

Wow! What a generous offer! THANK YOU! I don’t travel much BUT, if I ever get out that way I will definitely take you up on that! Driving your R would definitely put wrinkles in my forehead to make a decision!

It seems that with time I tend to go back in time with my preferences - growing old apparently :)
Love the 2012 Kona Blue Boss 302 as it was a 1 year color only for the 2 year run of the Boss 302 cars with just 516 Kona Blue cars built for the U.S. and with a total of 4077 Boss 302 cars built that year.

:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thanks Harry!

That picture is from when I brought it home this last November with about 4000 miles. It now has almost 7000 miles and it puts smiles on my face every time I drive it. It got a few improvements already, like the FP springs, and it will most likely get a few select more. It could not be more different than the R and that is what makes it so darn special. It is definitely the hooligan of the stable for now :)
