Good call on putting the flex pipe in there. Leaving the muffler open would echo and sound like ass. Kinda like hollowing out cats, it sounds terrible.

Yeah.. I had a sneaky suspicion it would have echoed like crazy. Like every subwoofer box out there.Good call on putting the flex pipe in there.
No need for baffling as it bypasses the muffler completely.I also wonder if you put some of the baffling like the straight throu mufflers
… or you want to add some fiberglass packing to "tune" the sound to your liking.SO I took the advice of a earlier commenter and decided just to secure the lid on the muffler instead of welding it on. Easy access in case something comes loose. Then just chromed taped the seams to keep the nasty out.
Ok.. so with it plus 12c today, roads basically empty due to the rona, I buttoned everything up, took it for a rip. Here's a clip of some other guys 17. Albeit it still has the suitcase on it.
Thank you Sir! I need to get a proper gopro to make some good quality videos to try and capture that awesome sound! Oh and yesterday I took it for a drive (clear skies, 15 degrees celsius), and did the 'drone' test, 30 mph in 5th gear varying the amount of throttle given. Result was zero drone, I'm a happy camper! Except for today, I'm looking at close to 30cm of snow outside and -4c haha.Great job on the DIY
