Hello all,
Quick question on the extended warranty. I'm considering the purchase of a 2017 GT350 in the next couple of days with around 2500 miles. According to Carfax is was registered to the first titled sometime in April so, as long as I buy it and set up the extended warranty I should be OK. My question is how does getting an extended warranty change if the car is already out of warranty. Some of the cars I've looked at are just past the 36 months so I'm curious if that would have a big effect on the price or availability of an extend warranty.
Thanks!

I just went with Premium care 8 year 60k km. Paid $1800 CDN has a $100 deductible. Could have did Premium plus with no deductible 8 years 80k km and more daily car rental coverage but don't need that as I have another car. Coverage is the same as far as warranty work goes. But the extra $600 bucks for plus was not worth it for me.

I average 4000 km per year so I will never reach the max km anyway
Where did you buy your warranty? Sounds like a good price.

ok i assume @ssmith891 also got his early then. those prices dont seem to be around anymore.

anderson-koch is probably the best right now. we'll see.
I just saw this, sorry about that! Also, I found out that if you already have a CPO warranty, it drastically reduces the amount of PremiumCare. That's why mine was so low.

If anyone knows the answers to these 2 questions, they are the 2 most important questions for me...

1) Are A/C and engine (replacement) covered by powertrain (5yr) or only bumper to bumper (3yr)?
2) Are A/C and engine (replacement) covered under the BASE extended warranty plan?

The A/C is not covered by the powertrain, only the bumper to bumper.

Here is what is covered for the A/C under the different Ford Protect plans.

You can compare the plans here too:

Dude, I just shopped AndersonAndKoch and got a quote of $925 for Premium. I average 5K a year and picked a plan that would take me out five more years (eight from new) and 36K miles; figure I'll be around 40K at that point. Can't beat that. That's crazy compared to the $3,490 Ford Protect quoted me.

Just double checking, but am I missing something?

so long as you punched everything in correctly. the website is so easy to get quotes I don't see how you could screw up the price.

if you want to compare to double check against my quote from them, I'm at 24 months ownership, 7100 miles, looking at the 8 year, 36k, $0 deductible. last time I checked I was right around $1,550... that's the premium plan. the base plan I think is 1100 for me.

I thought you could only get it up to 36 months but Anderson website has an option for those beyond 36k but I just don't know how that works, might want to check...

Looks like 41 months is the max at Anderson for them to provide extended warranty.
