Stuck trying to decide. I thought i wanted the 10s in gloss black (going 19s) but the more i see the 5s and 7s the more i like them. I'm ready to buy right now but I'm stuck! Usually there's a clear winner for me.

Anyone have some pics of lightning blues with gloss black project6gr rims

This is what they are going on (sorry only have a few cell pics)

Unfortunately, I don’t have any pics to share. But my vote goes for the 10’s. They look killer, and everyone and their mom has 7 spoke wheels or some sort of replica gt350r wheel. Not that they don’t look good, I just think they’re getting played out. I think 5 spoke wheels on these cars look terrible, so the 10’s are a clear cut winner for me

I've had the 7-spokes for like 3.5 years and I still love em. Sure there are other 7 spokes out there, but they're popular because they look so damn good, and the P6GR wheels are deeper than the competitors versions. If you think the 7 spokes are played out, the 10 spoke scene is even more so.

For the blue, I'd look at a silver or gunmetal color instead of black maybe.

I see a ton of 10 spoke gt350, non r, reps (thin spokes) and there are a lot of other 10 spoke designs out there but I think the pg6r 10 is pretty unique

I won't be buying anytime soon but I'm looking at all three myself (almost everyday). I think it depends on the color and the year of the car. The more I look the more I think the '18+ body lines look better with 10s. I think the '15 - '17s look good with any of the three.

Seems to be the darker the body color the nicer a lighter rim looks. Everyone loves my stock blackout rims on my magnetic grey but I feel they get lost against the black tire. So I'm leaning towards gunmetal grey or lighter color to compliment all the black and grey on my car.

Lightning Blue is such a nice color that changes in the light I think you could get away with any color and 5, 7, or 10 spokes. I know, not much help. Just thinking out loud.

I just went thru this with Project 6GR. I chose 7's. For me it came down to the 5's showed too much caliper and disc for my taste. The 10's were going to be harder to clean but I really like them.

Eeeny Meeeny Miny Mo. I was at the point that if I couldn't get the 7's in a reasonable amount of time I would have taken the 10's.

I'm going with the 10s after pouring over pictures all day. Now I have to decide on gloss black or satin black. I have a lot of black accents and I'm getting lightning blue caliper covers. I need to find better everyday pics of the satin black

Satin is very practical, easy to clean and durable (hard to scratch). Also easy to paint match if you curb one (DONT ask me how I know). Looks good too IMHO, there are good reasons its the default. Here are some shots:

Yep I'm going with black satin. Gloss is too shiny in direct sun as they are too reflective, matte is too dull. Satin has the perfect balance. At least from the pics I saw.

After discovering 325 indy 500s will fit an 11" rim near perfect i will be buying 2 19x10 and 2 19x11. Going with 275/35 front, 325/30 rear. Was going to go 285 front but 285/35 is .2" taller than 325/30. Wrong rake direction lol

I much prefer satin as well. I think gloss wheels make the tires look like shit unless you always use tire shine or some sort of tire dressing

There was a thread on here somewhere with a 325 Indy 500 on an 11” wheel and it was really pinched, as long as that’s the look you’re going for. In that case, you could go with the 325/30 out back, and go to a 275/35 up front

That is not the look I want but here is a pic of an 11" rim with 325 indy 500s. I think the thread you are talking about is with the 10" rim.

They look a little pinched to me. But it could just be the angle of the pics. Are you considering the Apex sm-10’s as well?

Im just looking at the fitment and comparing. In the pic with the four wheels/tires laying in the driveway, the sidewall of the tire on the factory BMW wheel on the far right looks parallel with the face of the wheel. What I’m assuming is the 325 Indy 500 to the left of it, looks like the middle of the sidewall is out further than where the tire meets the wheel lip. Also considering, a 325/30 Indy 500 has a section width of 13”. An 11” wheel will measure 11” at the beads, but about 12” at the lips of the wheels. So there’s still an inch of tire (give or take) left. That’s just what it looks like from my house. But if they fit, they fit

OP, I see you’ve made up your mind on the 10 spoke.

if you (or anyone else is interested still) I’m selling 2 Project 6GR-7 wheels, I bought them to use on my 350R, mounted the tires and at the last minute decided to go a different route. The caliper clearance was not to my liking with these. I hear you guys don’t have that same problem.

I bought them brand new and never used them so there are literally no marks of any kind on them.

Im selling just the wheels. Here are some pics if anyone is interested

Im gonna put up a for sale thread tonight (if I don’t fall asleep first) lol
