After 10 years of awesome fun on the Yamaha R6 crotch-rocket, I finally traded it in for an FJR 1300. It keeps most of the "sport", but pampers my delicate heinie on the long "touring".

Ah, loved my 2001 R6, same color scheme as yours... dad and i put it together as soon as it showed up in the crate (we worked at a Honda/Yamaha dealer...i got dealer pricing, and this is when i realized they don’t make much on the sale lol). Rode it home in the middle of December....man was that thing a blast! Mine saw 161 often, not really sure why i remember that

Beautiful bike. Its hit or miss with our throttle on the bikes. My friend has a black 18Gsxs 1k and has perfect throttle, mine was awful! Had it flashed at danos performance, if you're experiencing any throttle issues @ lower speeds/steady, check him out. was 180 bucks to fix it.

I will chip in, here's my 18 gsxs like above. Love it! moved on from the Gsxr life to Gsxs and I don't have any regrets. I also built this Harley sporty. Painted both of them grabber blue.

I've heard of Danos - any other improvements besides the touchy throttle?

My throttle was touchy but I got used to it but nevertheless ordered and installed the throttle tube from the '19+ GSX-S1000 (same as the '20 Katana). I've yet to ride it but it's supposed to be a bit better. Also installed Koso heated grips but again too damn chilly to get out - thank goodness the Mustang scratches my itch when the roads are dry and the temps are above freezing.

That 110 brings back a ton of memories riding m cousins' back in the early '80s as a kid. That thing took a beating.
