At first glance this Grabber Blue Mustang looked like my old car!

Didnt' realise you were also part of the eastside crew!

I haven't been to many meets to due rolling weekend commitments and now i'm selling the Mustang, but i might go still to some in the future using the replacement

I am not very active because I live on the other side of town.

It is unfortunate that you are parting with your Mustang. I imagine that is going to hurt.

Sorry for the clutter, i like to tell a story (do people do build threads here?) A week or two back i went to the dealer to find out when my 2020 might be arriving. He managed to find the name of the ship it was on, so i tracked the ship down the East coast from Brisbane, to Port Kembla, and finally through to Port Melbourne.

That evening i headed down to the docks to see what i could see and i photographed the ship sitting there waiting to unload:

A week of pestering my dealer went by, and this morning he sent me a few pics, as it arrived overnight:

Should be ready by Friday morning, should the world still be doing its thing. I'm trying to minimise my exposure to the outside world (where people are at least), so i'm questioning it but i'll figure it all out i'm sure. I was going to remove the spoiler but i've decided to keep it for now, maybe flog it later on and swap for something else. As far as booking tint goes, and all the other mods i had planned for it already, that will potentially have to wait until things are more normal again.

Oh the memories of following the course of the car from order to delivery. That is one year of my life I will not get back again.

I was fortunate my Twister Orange came into the dealer’s yard the day before we went ‘tyre kicking’, although in a way the car doesn’t feel as special as the first Mustang that had 12 months of anticipation attached to it.

Bit of a subdued delivery day as far as they go - i just wanted to get the hell out of there ASAP while the zombies still waltz around thinking the world is delightful and fancy-free. Used approximately 17 tonnes of disinfectant wipes on it and am still going. The car was delivered this morning and it has a few marks on it but they were rectified. Visually it has a slight sag on the passenger side of the bumper, and the passenger door gap on the hinge side is significantly bigger up toward the window than it is near the floor. It'll be rectified at the 3000. The doors do not stick out though like my 19, and the gaps in general are far better, miles better. The thing about bright colours is they will show up the slightest inconsistency in panel gaps - so this one did pretty well over all.

I tell you, this thing is striking in person when all clean. The blue one is menacing, this one is sexy - it really is gorgeous in person. It just looks good from all angles, very happy for the setup i went with. The wheels look miles better as well - hate the PP1 wheels on my 19. As far as driving, it also has a sharper jerkier shift into 5th like the 19 lol - maybe the illusion of a shift-kit gear change was high on the priority lists of customers in the past. Yet to see if it'll smooth out. It's smoother in other gears than the 19 ever was, so we'll see. They pumped the tyres to 42psi so that was delightful. The engine is quiet on cold starts, then develops a tappet type noise after a few minutes and then goes quiet after a run. Completely different noises to my 19, and the 18 before. The inconsistency is staggering. See if this one develops into a knock or behaves itself.

It's funny how quiet they are when stock, normal mode on this sounds like quiet mode on my 19. I want to get the tint done and a million other things, but they'll just have to wait until the crazy world does its thing. Pic time. A guy driving an R-Spec rocked up as i was taking one of the pics - he told me "you'll love it mate" as he thought it was an r-spec as well. The black pack gives a different look that's for sure.

Apologies for pic quality, i'm running on three hours' sleep.

I don't know, but I could possibly find out if you are really, really keen to know.

In the mean time, here's a bit more Twister Orange:
