Hi Tim

How us the steeda lateral link any different from stock pp1?
They look the same. Both have spherical ends and same outboard shape.

Nevermind. The end is taller to match the longer bumpsteered tierod end. Makes sense now.

If you do your own alignments note that the lateral links reduce overall front track width by .400 and they reduce the range of negative camber by about .5 degrees or so.

I'll let Steeda confirm...

it averages about .3 neg degrees and just under .400 it depends on the vehicle. We run 1/4 in spacers in the front or offset with wheel back spacing.

Question about fitment. I tried installing one of the lower arms on my car but there's about a 3/8-1/2" gap between the spindle opening and the straight end of the ball joint below the tapered part of the stud and the threads. Or is that how the stud of the ball joint fits into the hole? Only the tapered end goes in? I wish I had taken a picture to better explain this.

spoke to our installer -

The answer to the question is, the installation is correct. There is a gap between the ball joint dust boot and the steering knuckle. You will see the straight section of the ball joint stud in that gap, only the taper portion of the stud engages the knuckle.

Follow the directions on torque values, do not over torque the hardware trying to close that gap.

Let us know if we can help assist further.

Thanks for your reply TJ. Now if I could get the driver's side upper control arm off. Blasted thing is seriously stuck in there.

Yes! I wish that was in the IFU's for the lateral links. That omission cost me to have to buy a second set of larger spacers or another 200bucks to get strut clearance and the negative camber I needed for my race only S550.

I guess it depends on the car setup but it would have been nice to know.

Does the standard lateral link Part Number: 555 4914 (the version without extended ball joint) also reduce track width and negative camber?

Front Camber on Base is -0.72° , I want to increase to -1.5° for occasional autocross and fun street driving (not reduce it).
