This turned into quite the build! Any way to make sure you dont run into Oil starvation problems again?
RIGHT?! I'm still having nightmares about oil starvation. Thinking about adding an Accusump.

It's ALIVE!

My retired from Ford father helped me rebuild my Mustang after I blew the motor at that track day. It was a wonderful experience that came out of a total bummer. I’ll never forget it.

Been working with Lund on tuning: 93, Flex, and E85R.

Cleaned the Car up and took some pics.

I wanted to be sure the Mishimoto oil cooler was circulating oil. That oil cooler kit has a thermostat in the sandwich plate that is supposed to open around 185 degrees F. I remembered I have a thermal camera. Here's the car warmed up at idle.

Of the 3 Steeda G-Trac K-Member Braces, only the offset one (meant for the ecoboost automatic) works with my setup. The steeda Extreme brace wouldn't work with my oil pan and the straight brace doesn't clear my Stainless Power Headers. Big props to the guys at Steeda for helping sort this out. I did also talk to BMR and they said neither of their braces work with the Moroso road-race pan.

If you've tracked your 2015-2016 and gotten a lot of oil in your intake (like I have) the problem is likely the original valve cover design. Ford updated the part eventually. It's not too hard to swap these.

The newer part is KR3Z-6582-C

Started installing the Full Tilt Boogie Racing Diff Cooler. I'm 3 days into this install.

Diff Cooler install finished. Diff cooler arming switch installed just to the right of the steering wheel. With the switch in the "ON" position, the cooler activates at a temp set at the controller. It'll keep running with the car off if you want it to. I also installed an override switch in the trunk that can force the system to run when you are draining or re-filling the diff fluid.

I also installed the newest versions of the BMR rear shock mounts and in-trunk brace.

New custom Radium "competition" catch can setup. These are BIG catch cans. Radium sells a full kit for our cars with their small catch cans but I wanted maximum capacity for track days. Their
"competition" catch cans don't come in kits, all DIY. I used a variety of 10an connectors and Radium 10an hoses. I made the mounts with some scrap steel.

Also added is the Radium coolant expansion tank.

I'd love to be able to run a BIG front splitter. The problem is my driveway angle. The biggest splitter I can run without having to build a ramp between my driveway and the street is from Steeda (which I still scrape a lil coming and going).

If I can't run a bigger splitter but still want more front downforce on the track what can I do?
Then I found these diffusers by Professional Awesome. They make a bunch of diy downforce parts for time attack.

IMG_5426.jpg

My stock PP undertray had little versions of these to send some air up to cool the front brakes. Yesterday I cut into my splitter and added these Professional Awesome diffusers. I attached the diffusers with epoxy and some rivets.

I also upgraded to Vorshlag Brake Cooling Deflectors.
