I got the blue screen of death today on my 2019 GT. Afrer leaving the tint shop, I pulled into my drive and stepped away for about 35 minutes..I returned and when I started up there was no info on the touchscreen but the Sirius was playing..I went to back out of the drive and just got a blue screen. A few seconds later screen went black.

Backup cam worked but then a black screen.

I then drive 15 minutes to post office and still no screen. No nav, no time no display.

A few minutes later after car was shut off turned back on an it worked fine.

What type of gremlins are at work here?

I read about the 8 inch cluster going out but not the center stack.

Car only has 1k on it. Thoughts? Comments? Words of woe?

Pics below

By the bye 2nd 6g car..my 2015 was a base GT pp1.

Infotainment systems get over air updates, could be that. If it doesn't go away within a day though, yeah I'd say take it in for a diagnostic.

Probably a simple reboot of the info system would have fixed that. I have two vehicles with Sync3, and both have done something like this every great once in a while. A reset has cleared it every time.

Thanks I will keep an eye out. I do have it connected to my WiFi for automatic updates.

my 2017 F150 blanked out and did the same thing when I first bought it but only once or twice.

no issues for over 25k.

My 17 did that too. Simple key off/ key on fixed it. Hasn't done it since. ;)

Mine has done it too, simple key off, open door, close door, key on usually resets it.

My 16 did that when the car was kinda new. Don't remember how many miles on her but I was freaking out. Went in to a restaurant to eat. Came back out and it worked. Never did it again.

I did this on mine the other night as it was really acting badly. And it was always disconnecting and reconnecting to my phone every couple of minutes. Its been working very well since then. I thought I would have to re-update the to the latest software again but it still kept that version. I had to pair my phone again which was no big deal. My only regret was I forgot to note my EQ settings which I finally had just right and now I'm frigging with them again. Doh!
